AI-based systems can process complex, multi-parameter datasets—encompassing density, mobility flows, environmental performance, social interaction patterns, and long-term growth scenarios—producing spatial configurations that exceed the capacity of traditional linear design logic

Pina and her school

Although Pina is a crowded performer in her own right, her productions are energetically powerful and often unpredictable. Improvisation—that's what's often perceived. But it's not always so. Oleg Amfiteatrov's photographs speak for themselves. The photographer's gaze is like a lens that he points at the city and sees... people. Humans.

His project is a series of photographs that tells the amazing story of city encounters, so familiar to every St. Petersburg resident: through gaze, place, love of architecture... and strolls along embankments and avenues.

And this is no surprise. The city, with its majestic architecture, museums, lions, parks, numerous branches of the Neva, sculptural decoration, and abundance of domes, attracts not only numerous tourists but also the residents themselves. New residents. Whose faces speak of the geography of all of Russia. Who flocked to live in the Northern Capital, drawn by its beauty and prospects.

The stories behind each photograph are simple and familiar. But not everyone can see and capture the mastery honed by years of capturing moments of encounters.

Metamorphosis in graffiti: order in the formation of relations between artist and viewer as a potential for freedom

Graffiti is traditionally considered an art form of freedom and force—an outpouring of creativity into urban space. However, today we are witnessing a metamorphosis: the street artist's encounter with the institution of "commissioned work" is no longer an act of self-dissociation but rather a new form of intellectual synthesis. Here, commissioning acts not as a restrictive framework, but as a social construct that provides the artist with creative expression and a safe public presence. It is at this point of intersection between personal manifesto and public demand that a successful synthesis of the artist-viewer relationship is formed. Importantly, the discipline of commissioning does not subjugate the elements; it gives them scale and voice. It transforms the potential of an anarchic gesture into a conscious potential for freedom—one that can transform not only walls but also urban consciousness.

In classical painting, the image of this "Mesopotamia" becomes the ultimate prototype of fertility—not only agricultural, but also civilizational. Here, the city is not opposed to the river; it is its highest flowering, the architectural embodiment of the rhythm set by water. Exploring this synthesis of natural elements and urban will, we discover that the true art of Mesopotamia is a chronicle of how the chaos of flowing water takes on eternal form in stone and silk.

Music. Voice behind scene

All that he doing are his behind scene's voice. It's full of notes, like sparkling wine, and the depth of a good novel...

The essay is presented as an analysis of a single day working with an actor, or more precisely, his voice. The actor's name is Romanovsky. The author, a sound engineer, relives that day and reflects on the intricacies of the profession, their dependence on accurately capturing the actor's voice, and the victories and failures they share. He analyzes and approaches his profession with love. Because it involves working with music, sounds, and the music of the voice in connection with the framework of a film, a play, a high-quality audio performance, or a podcast.
The essay explores important aspects of sound engineering through the interaction of two professionals: technology, philosophy, subtext, the ability to analyze, correct mistakes, and evaluate work on a larger scale. At the same time, the subtle poetics of humanity are not lost, for example, with the actor in the essay being warm and alive.

The Spirit of Vladivostok

Every city has its own spirit. It's a living spirit, imbued with character and desires. It's the spirit that preserves the city's individuality and unique atmosphere. The project's subject is Vladivostok, a city located in the Russian Far East on the Muravyov-Amursky Peninsula, bordered on three sides by the Sea of ​​Japan. Its remoteness from central Russia lends it a certain mystique and often raises questions about life here. The project's goal is to show the true Vladivostok, its beauty, charm, and uniqueness. This will be achieved through immersion in the author's legend of this spirit, accompanied by melodies composed by the artist himself.

Uncle Mitzvar and the Golden Fleece

Every morning and every evening, Uncle Mitzvar's life's journey stretches like a living stream. It's warm and seems to flow for kilometers. It controls people and machines. And time.

Just as day and night are opposites, so this living stream stills it.
"Power!" says Uncle Mitzvar. And he's right.

After all, it's the Golden Fleece flowing across the mainland of Greece from Northern Macedonia, rushing south. To its source. To Colchis.
"We all think so," laughs Uncle Mitzvar, squinting against the sun.

Sorrow

The presented work is a concept for an interactive comic based on an episode in the lives of teenage friends who encounter hurtful behavior from one of their friends' mothers. The comic's story is instructive both for teenagers, explaining how to behave in the described situation, and for adults, showing the mistakes they make when raising children.
The presented comic is executed in a line art style with a gray gradient. This technique can be used to create comics on urban objects typically used for graffiti. Among such objects are long barriers (fences) around construction sites. Comics could decorate these urban objects. The simplicity of the drawing and the limited number of colors make these images quick and cost-effective to create. On the other hand, the plot is clear and instructive. I believe that the appearance of such comics on individual urban objects would make the lives of city residents more interesting.

When I pick up the violin...

When we choose an instrument, it happens somehow automatically: out of thousands, we choose ours. It feels right away!

A famous cellist once said, "When you find your instrument, the vibration of every sound or breath immediately penetrates your heart." And this is absolutely true. Because playing the violin is, first and foremost, a dialogue between the instrument and the performer.
And these dialogues can be completely different:
- a calm, confidential conversation,
- a heated argument, persuasion, recognition,
- sometimes it's persuasion,
- sometimes it's sharing impressions.

The violin doesn't produce its sound on its own. It expects a certain amount of effort and commitment from the musician. And this makes you a team. A team in which, through joint efforts, absolute magic can be created.
Every instrument requires a playing experience. This means that in the hands of different performers, a violin can sound completely different. And it depends only on the performer whether the violin will reveal all the facets of its sound or whether something will remain hidden.
The violin, like a person, develops over time.

Almost every musician can answer the question of what character their instrument has. Mine is a girl: she's very bright, passionate, and eccentric. But at the same time, she's very vulnerable and fragile. Sometimes she's capricious. And something tells me she loves adventure. Because before every performance, which comes unexpectedly, for which you don't have time to prepare sufficiently, I feel nervous, but she gives her all on stage. And suddenly, she's just as delighted and thrilled by the risk of playing unprepared as I am.
I sometimes notice that I'm adopting some of her traits. And, of course, I share some of my own with her.

Preserving Iran's cultural heritage through the creation of a virtual exhibition of national costumes

The topic of this project is "Preserving Iranian Cultural Heritage through the Creation of a Virtual Exhibition of National Costumes."
This work examines the development of a virtual reality application designed to preserve and study ancient Iranian cultural heritage.

Research objectives:
1. To explore methods for displaying historical objects using advanced technologies.
2. To identify key characteristics of historical information visualization.
3. To develop a scenario for exhibiting cultural heritage objects.
4. To develop models for the virtual exhibition.
5. To develop a prototype of the virtual reality application.

This project involved creating a virtual exhibition dedicated to Iranian national costumes.

The goal of this study was to preserve cultural heritage using virtual reality technology. 3D models of costumes and objects were created manually. Unreal Engine 5, ZBrush, and Marvelous Designer were used for modeling. The exhibition space itself was also designed manually.

Descriptive and comparative approaches, as well as interactive methods, were used in this process. The results showed that virtual reality can be a suitable method for teaching and presenting cultural assets.

This project has potential for use in tourism, educational, and cultural documentation. Overall, it demonstrates how technology can help preserve important elements of history.

Alena Sviridova's work has a very unexpected concept for us, the jury. The artist insists that the main character of her work is not a portrait of a girl - oil and digital , but rather music written by the artist based on her own impression of her own portrait. As the main character. As the impression—the most important and true.
The result is a multifaceted, intangible experience. Impression. For the viewer/listener. A synthesis of the arts.
We weren't left unmoved or indifferent. On the contrary, the work remarkably aligns with our concept for the competition itself: the creation and implementation of projects based on a synthesis of arts and visual presentation to a creative community of like-minded individuals for the development, growth, and realization of their own ideas. And to stimulate creative and intellectual collaborations around the world.

Creator of cultures

For me, the theme "City of Personalities: A Space for Growth and Visual Dialogue" is a direct connection between people and the city. Each person is an individual who adds something new to the appearance of their city.

A city is more than just architecture, streets, and weather conditions. Above all, it is filled with people and could not exist without them: they create it.

Every person is an individual who influences the appearance of the place in which they live. Throughout history, people have experienced emotions in their own ways and reflected them in the urban environment. Looking at a particular building, you can sense the character of the time when it was created, what was in the artist's mind, and what they wanted to convey with their creation. Each building becomes a cultural heritage.

The color scheme of the work was chosen deliberately. Cool colors dominate the painting, but they should not convey a sad mood. I was inspired by Gzhel. Blue patterns directly evoke Russian culture for me. That is why blue became the dominant color in the work. The heroine in the painting is the very person who creates the image of the city. She embodies humanity as a whole. The birds perched on her hand represent the creator's thoughts and ideas, which will inevitably leave their mark on the city's appearance. The dark blue of her hair reflects the heroine's direct connection to the city, depicted in the same tones as creator and creation.

More specifically, regarding the background, the buildings in the image were deliberately chosen from different eras to illustrate a dialogue of cultures. But despite the differences in architectural styles, all the buildings, the city itself, share one thing: humanity.

I'm inspired by the project of my namesake, Zoltan Kerenya, who created a series of reconstructions of Budapest by combining archival photography of the same location with a contemporary shot.

I'm collecting impressions that would be beautiful in black and white. Many great photographers love graphic style. I, too, find it appealing for its depth and passion for craftsmanship. A professional's mistakes are more obvious here. And there's no less scope for poetry.

I decided to call my work submitted to the competition simply and impartially: Retro.
For me, this word captures the mood of this photograph, conveyed through the shades and halftones of black, gray, and white. And the play of light.
As if an old vinyl record suddenly began to play in the silence—with crackling static—on a gramophone needle.

Portrait of a Stranger girl

I called my work "Portrait of a Stranger girl" because... although the background to the photograph explains it better.
On the embankment, I responded to a sharp female voice coming from a megaphone and, turning my head, saw... or rather, did NOT see the owner of that voice.
Instead, a dark-skinned man stood there, holding a megaphone to his face.

I grabbed the camera ............ )
That's basically all there is to "Portrait of a Stranger."

Another work that will surprise you. And us, the jury, too.
But it certainly fits the Parallel Canvases theme of the year, "City of Personalities: A Space for Growth and Visual Dialogue."

Having not only the ability to cock a camera and a sense of humor, but also becoming a kind of reporter of a rare phenomenon, while simultaneously hitting the target – this is the ultimate challenge of the competition, and Airat Aivazov was able to respond.
Let's add that this urban photo portrait is also an example of the responsibility of ordinary workers on the tourism front in our most beautiful city, St. Petersburg. :)
We decided to award third place only because, in terms of classical photography + imagery + philosophical depth, there were more talented artists.
We have no doubt that Airat, with his reporter's luck and talent for capturing the perfect shot, has and will continue to produce more profound works. We look forward to seeing them at the next edition of the competition. It's a development of his multifaceted talent, with our testimony to that.
